Design and Build
This role works primarily with Marketing teams. In addition to designing, building, and testing concepts, you’ll be (literally) reinventing television. You’ll envision and create the best ways to inform people about the most engaging product ever created, across web, mobile, and TV platforms. Each member of our team works together on the entire product experience. It’s not uncommon to go from brainstorming to polishing design details, to understanding the needs of different platforms. As a Brand Designer, you will work throughout the development process, from developing new ideas to getting the details right. 

We are looking for the next talented designer to join our team to create brand designs for Philo’s product, marketing, and communications needs. You will help execute on our team’s vision of making Philo into a richly visual television brand, both playing an integral role in determining the brand’s creative direction and rolling up your sleeves to produce deliverables. You should have project expertise with brand design, print, and digital marketing. You must be comfortable working across graphic, understanding motion, and advertising media. You should be able to take an idea from concept to launch. We bounce ideas off each other, nerd out on the latest design trends and applications, and leave our egos at the door—we are looking for the next designer to level up our uniquely talented design team. 

What You'll Do:

  • Design for product branding, digital and print ads, and communication campaigns
  • Create ownable, extractable, and scalable designs 
  • Collaborate with marketers, engineers, product designers, and managers
  • Design and deliver on assets for various product launches and media programs for Philo’s partners, including working with program imagery, graphic design, video, motion graphics, advertising, print and digital assets.
  • Test and optimize creative on multiple platforms and channels
  • Design and iterate for product UI and share ideas on elevating the visuals in the product experience
  • Participate in design feedback to internal and external designers

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong portfolio, a set of self-initiated projects
  • Portfolio that shows conceptual and consistent approach to design, across web, advertising, events, social and most importantly, brand 
  • 3-5 years of experience as designer, at a creative agency or an in-house team
  • 2-3 years of experience with advertising deliverables
  • Illustration and iconography design a plus
  • Attention to detail and articulating design considerations and intentions
  • Some experience with product design is a plus
  • Experience with television content and marketing needs a plus 

Projected Start Date: ASAP
Status: Full-time
Location: San Francisco, CA
Compensation: Includes annual salary between $100K-$135K depending on experience, company stock options and health benefits.
