Squarespace is the easy way to build a beautiful brand and business online. In order to help our customers make the most of our tools, we’re seeking a Brand Designer for a new team focused on educational content. Like everything we make, this work will place a premium on design, culture, craft and clarity — the opposite of boring demo videos and dry product walkthroughs. Our goal is to prepare the next generation of entrepreneurs to succeed online in the most stylish way possible.
So, about you. You probably have experience with various kinds of content packages: longform video, episodic video series, explainer videos, podcasts, downloadable guides and editorial, to name a few. You seek to educate and inform in equal measure, and know that the packaging is as important as the content. You are a real person who creates things for other real people, with a high taste level and some wit. You can make complex ideas easy to understand without resorting to the ol’ “explain it to me like I’m five” routine.
What else? You’re a tight designer, maybe with some familiarity with designing for motion and/or illustration. You’re a great collaborator, conceptual and craft-focused in equal measure. You’re willing to be held to very high standards. You’re a good communicator and a great problem solver. You’re nice, too. We like nice.
You’ll report to the Creative Lead (Content).
