Content Marketers have a background in copywriting and content creation and are expected to understand each BU brand language standards and adhere to them. You will understand the value behind the Emburse platform and products — and know how to inform and inspire consumers to take action. You’re a storyteller who loves your craft and relishes finding just the right word. You create content that’s human and relatable and converts. We value proactive collaborators and team players with skills including strong communication, adaptability, and creativity.

With direction, content marketers may concept and develop these brand language standards. Content marketers must have an expert level skill set with copywriting and must understand the type of language needed for each deliverable format; they also must be adaptive and understand the buyer’s journey, personas, and how to identify gaps in the funnel. Content Marketers have a well-developed understanding of grammar, brand voice, and brand tone, and have experience developing content for various types of assets. They must be hungry to learn, grow, and develop their skill sets. They must have a wide array of both print and digital experience and be open to constant development. They are an integral part of marketing's "internal agency" and must be able to concept and develop new ideas, work well with others, and be familiar with best practices. They work cross-functionally and are responsible for upholding the brand and all related content. They must work well with the visual design team, understand how to present their work and their thinking, and must be comfortable with constructive criticism and feedback.

What you'll do:

  • You’ll research and write engaging short- and long-form features for demand-generation campaigns, sales enablement kits, the BU blogs and resources libraries, and other outlets targeted at key personas.
  • Create new content for a variety of marketing and sales collateral including surveys, eBooks, reports, sell sheets, website landing pages, blog posts, and emails, delivering high-impact targeted results, including acquisition, retention and engagement goals. 
  • Copyedit technical and narrative writing for marketing assets, the Emburse + BU websites, emails, blogs, landing page copy, localization, etc.
  • Conceptualize and produce social media campaigns alongside Communications Manager and Demand Generation team, under the direction of Managers and Directors
  • Conceptualize and produce a blog and eBook topics based on the editorial calendar provided by Manger, Content Marketing
  • Work alongside dev team to post content including eBooks, reports, blog posts, news, event updates, etc.
  • Work with sales enablement team to communicate new content materials to Sales
  • Work with Manager of Content Marketing to ensure that public-facing content/materials are up to date with the latest brand standards, archiving dated content
  • Under the direction of Managers and Directors, ensure the latest sales collateral and brand assets are posted and up to date on our digital asset library (Brand folder)
  • Assist with developing messaging for use on event collateral and tradeshow booths

What we're looking for:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Arts, English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, technical certification or equivalent
  • Required: 4+ years’ experience with content marketing and copywriting
  • Preferred: B2B level experience 
  • Understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Expertise in Google Drive and experience using Google Slides
  • Ability to understand and analyze data
  • Ability to initiate and follow folder structure on Dropbox, Brand folder, and Google Drive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with digital marketing tools such as HubSpot, SurveyMonkey, Pardot, Salesforce, and other similar programs preferred but not required
  • Strong sense of urgency combined with close attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Able to meet deadlines consistently 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Experience with photography and videography preferred but not required
  • Copywriting Expertise with full understanding of English language and grammar
  • Understanding of industry and how to present thoughts to clients in a digestible manner
  • Must demonstrate the ability to manage design and content projects from beginning to end, taking into account direction from the Director, client feedback, and input from other team members
  • Must approach work with a mature and professional attitude that is an example to others both in the department and in the company in general
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and resources, and prioritize schedules and timelines
  • Understanding of entire creative process
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to proofread, spell check, vet design work, and review all documents
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written 
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to see projects through from ideation to concept to execution 
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Strong business acumen
