About the Team

As part of SumUp's Engineering, Product & Design organisation in São Paulo, this role sits within the Product Growth team, in close collaboration with the Sell Online tribe, a globally distributed team working across regions. You'll help shape both merchant and cardholder facing experiences across our core Sell Online products — Payment Links, Online Store, Invoices, Bookings, Gift Cards and Order and Pay — driving SMB merchant growth and experience across these product interfaces.

You'll work at the intersection of product strategy and day-to-day execution, collaborating closely with the squads within the Sell Online tribe, with the Acquiring team in Brazil, and other payment processing teams. Together, we'll make it easier for millions of small businesses to sell online with SumUp.

What You'll Do

  • Represent merchant and cardholder facing product initiatives across the Sell Online portfolio, with a focus on experience, conversion optimisation, activation, and retention.
  • Contribute to the Sell Online product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with OKRs and growth KPIs, while acting as the voice of the Brazilian market — leading local discovery, benchmarking, and translating global products to local needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Sell Online tribe, Acquiring, Payout, and payment processing teams to align on priorities and translate needs into clear product requirements — partnering with CRM, Online Marketing, and Sales on go-to-market execution.
  • Drive product growth and adoption through experimentation, A/B testing, and continuous improvement, using data and analytics to track key metrics, identify areas of opportunity, and iterate on existing features.
  • Work closely with Design and UX Research to incorporate merchant insights into the product development cycle, ensuring experiences remain intuitive and effective.
  • Partner with business and operations teams to deliver high-impact solutions and ensure they are fully enabled to support the product.

You'll Be Great for This Role If

  • You have 2–3 years of experience in Product Management (or a closely related role), with a track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship product improvements.
  • You are customer-centric and data-driven, comfortable using metrics to inform prioritisation and measure impact.
  • You have working knowledge of SQL or another data querying language and can use data to back up your decisions.
  • You are a strong communicator who can break down complex topics into clear, structured narratives for diverse audiences.
  • You have a hands-on and pragmatic mindset: proactive, curious, and always seeking better ways to deliver value to merchants — you're comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
  • You thrive in collaborative, globally distributed and multicultural environments, working effectively across regions and time zones, and are comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • You are fluent in English, written and verbal.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ecommerce products, payment flows, or online checkout environments.
  • Familiarity with growth frameworks, experimentation, A/B testing, or CRM-driven product strategies.
  • Prior experience working in fintech or similarly fast-moving, regulated environments.
  • Experience with API-based or technically complex product environments.
