This unlocks the full potential of businesses and allows them to do things in a way that's right for them.

At Tray.io, we value customer obsession, ownership, humility, and teamwork. We believe in putting the customer at the center of everything we do, taking ownership of our work, staying humble and open-minded, and working collaboratively as a team to achieve our goals.

About the Role:

Connectors are at the heart of every Tray interface so ensuring that connectors meet the standard that our customers expect is crucial to the success of Tray as a company. As a Technical Product Manager at Tray.io, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our platform by managing our connector universe and assisting the development of our public API.

You will be working closely with our Customer Success and Engineering teams to ensure that the process for prioritising bugs, extending our connector library and API deprecations is smooth and efficient. You will also play a key role in the development of our public API which is a key component of the Tray code interface.

This is an exciting opportunity to both shape the future of our product and ensure that quality and efficiency are at the forefront of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project management teams to define project plans, allocate resources, and manage timelines for connector development.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to handle API deprecations, ensuring smooth transitions for customers and minimising disruption.
  • Establish and manage a process for effectively tracking, prioritising, and resolving bugs reported by customers or discovered internally.
  • Assist the development of our Public API by ensuring that our API is best in class when it comes to developer experience and ease of use.
  • Work closely with our documentation team to enrich our developer portal, making it both an excellent developer resource but also a powerful marketing tool.
  • Gather feedback from customers, sales, and customer success teams to identify areas for improvement and define requirements for connector enhancements and new feature development.
  • Conduct research and competitive analysis to stay updated on industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation in the connector space.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective messaging and positioning for our connectors, enabling them to drive adoption and revenue growth.

Requirement:

  • Strong technical background with a solid understanding of APIs, web technologies, and software development processes.
  • Experience with building products and features that demonstrably solve a problem for an end user.
  • Previous project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in a technical project or product management, preferably at a SaaS company.
  • Experience developing a Public API or developer focused product would be useful but not essential.
  • Passion for technology and keeping a close eye on emerging trends.
