Product Manager II - Logs Streaming

Paris, France

About Datadog:

We're on a mission to build the best platform in the world for engineers to understand and scale their systems, applications, and teams. We operate at high scale—trillions of data points per day—allowing for seamless collaboration and problem-solving among Dev, Ops and Security teams globally for tens of thousands of companies. Our engineering culture values pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity to solve hard problems the right way.

The Team:

Logs are critical to ensuring the availability, security/compliance and performance of modern applications, but as log volumes grow exponentially year over year, realizing value from the mountain of data becomes increasingly difficult and expensive. We are looking for a product manager with strong technical experience who can partner with customers and engineering to prioritize a very ambitious roadmap around Logs Streaming. The candidate will help make the onboarding and processing experience of logs from various data sources very easy and flexible as well as launch exciting new capabilities on the stream for our users.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Log Management customers, use cases, and competitors
  • Define and execute the roadmap and requirements for Log Integrations, Log Pipelines, Log Archives, and Log based Metrics
  • Drive the strategy for new log integrations and focus on making it easier for log data ingestion and processing from a variety of data sources into Datadog
  • Collaborate with an amazing team of product managers, designers and software engineers to build the next generation of log integrations
  • Ensure that our processing and streaming features continue to scale well as Datadog adds more customers and ingests more data per customer
  • Work with a broad range of internal cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing and customer success teams, to define GTM strategy for Logs Streaming

Who You Are:

  • A proven track record as a technical product manager independently defining strategy and owning execution of a SaaS product or data streaming service
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in SaaS Product Management or combination of Product and Engineering experience
  • Hands on experience using multiple services from one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Prior experience with high volume data processing or data streaming solutions (AWS Kinesis, Amazon Firehose, Apache Kafka, GCP Dataflow or PubSub) or Log Management solutions like Splunk or Elasticsearch is a strong plus

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We know not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That’s okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your experience, we encourage you to apply.
