Please let Toast know you found this offer on WeLoveProduct as a way to support us 🫶

Toast is driven by building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: building the businesses they love.

The Product Operations team is on a mission to enable Product teams at Toast to build in an efficient and scalable way. We sit at the intersection of Product, UX, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and other key stakeholder teams. We support better communication, more efficiency, and a clear connection between business outcomes and day-to-day product work, ultimately creating happy, healthy teams and customers.

As a key member of the Product Operations team, you will be responsible for designing, executing, iterating on, and communicating end-to-end programs that support the Product organization. You are a creative problem solver and excellent collaborator who can partner across functional areas. You have an in-depth understanding of how product teams operate at scale through your prior experience in Product Operations and/or Product Management (both is a plus!). You are able to apply systems thinking, a product management mindset, and strong project management skills in order to build effective systems that scale. You exercise strong judgment about the right level of process - just enough to be effective, but not so much that it slows down teams or creates unnecessary overhead. Your communication skills are top notch - you are able to distill complex problems into simple and actionable insights, and you enjoy evangelizing your work.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Partner with Product leadership and teams, Product Operations Managers, Product Strategy, and key stakeholder teams to gather insights and design programs to improve our product development processes. Examples include roadmap communication, release management, Product onboarding and education, goal frameworks, and shared rituals.
  • Develop, execute, and manage programs. Identify stakeholders, set milestones, and manage project plans to bring programs to life.
  • Identify the right tools for effective program design, partnering closely with Product Operations Managers to pilot and roll out new systems and tooling.
  • Define and measure the effectiveness of programs. Identify the right data to collect, execute measurement strategies, synthesize insights, and apply those insights to continuously improve our programs.
  • Coordinate and deliver training to Product Managers on the programs you build. Includes delivering presentations, running workshops, and creating training materials.
  • Build trust and strong relationships across the organization with Product teams and stakeholders.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in Product Operations/Enablement/Product Management. Measurable track record of helping Product teams improve their operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the operations of product teams, including fluency in methods like Agile and customer-driven product development.
  • Strong analytical thinker and problem solver, who always applies a customer-first approach.
  • Excels at teamwork and collaboration. You are a strong listener who can take in multiple perspectives and develop your own informed opinion.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and with a bias for action - you know how to get stuff done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content depending on the audience.
  • Undergraduate degree
