HoneyBook is trusted by over 100,000 service-based businesses in the United States and Canada that have booked more than $12 billion in business on the platform.

Our culture is built on five core values that inform everything we do. We encourage collaboration, feedback, ownership and have a growth mindset. We know experience comes in many different forms, some visible on your resume, others not. No one candidate will be a 100% perfect match to our description, so if you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-charged environment and have similar experience to what we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.

As the Head of Product Marketing you’ll be responsible for defining HoneyBook’s product marketing strategy. You’ll lead both product marketing and lifecycle teams to run the experiments, build the campaigns, and launch the features that drive member growth, engagement, and retention. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team where your impact will be tremendous.  Not only are we a small team, where every leader has the potential to drive impact, we are also a product led organization without a sales team.  As a result, product marketing is a key component of our growth strategy.

Here are a few of the things you will do:

  • Lead cross-functionally: you’ll influence how cross-functional groups connect with members and potential members, partnering closely with product, business development, and education teams to provide members with consistent messaging and high quality interactions with HoneyBook.
  • Strategic vision setting: you’ll build the HoneyBook product marketing vision and narratives; constantly pushing our thinking to be creative and fresh, and guiding teams to bring the work to life across our product suite.
  • Drive research & surface insights: you’ll craft the learning agenda in partnership with research teams, and use the insights surfaced to inform and guide ongoing product development, marketing and education.
  • Influence messaging & positioning: you’ll streamline how we communicate the breadth of our offerings across different audiences, bringing together product, marketing and education teams to set shared goals and coordinate our narrative.
  • Elevate Go-to-Market: you’ll evolve our go-to-market muscle to ensure we are effectively educating our customers with the right message, at the right time.
  • Lead a team: you’ll lead and develop a team of product and lifecycle marketers, enabling them to do their best work, and encouraging them to strive for excellence. You’ll prioritize projects across the team to ensure business needs are being met.

Here is what we’re looking for in a candidate:

  • A talent for articulating the essence of complex products and the value they create in simple terms; this includes developing a strong messaging hierarchy and effective content strategy plan.
  • An innate curiosity and capacity for deeply understanding our TAM, customers, and competition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting and sharing work with executive leadership.
  • Strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate people at all levels and across a broad variety of job functions.
  • Strong analytical skills. You use data to create insightful stories, inform strategy, and guide decision making.
  • Demonstrated success pushing projects through to completion that involve collaborating across multiple teams, countries, time-zones, backgrounds and functions.
  • A hard-working and motivated self-starter, who enjoys challenges and is not deterred by complicated/complex situations.
  • A strong level of organization with an eye for detail
  • “Owner-operator” working style, deep sense of ownership for business results.

Here is what is needed:

  • 10+ years career experience within marketing, with at least 5 years’ experience in a product marketing marketing role at a product-led company, or at a company catering to small business or independents
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing PMM and either leading and/or partnering closely with lifecycle teams
  • Experience marketing to SMB and/or independent businesses

The good stuff:

  • Mission-driven: You'll be joining more than just another startup. Our members’ success is at the heart of everything we do.
  • Impact: We move quickly and encourage every employee to push the envelope. Our best ideas come from out-of-the-box thinking and innovation; be ready to fail fast and often!
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and meaningful equity grants.
    • Base pay: $216-$260k
  • Benefits & perks: From wellness programs to exceptional family leave policies, the health and happiness of our employees are foremost.

Our core values:

  • People come first: We prioritize people as we explore opportunities and work through challenges.
  • Raise the bar: We push for greatness—for ourselves, each other, and our members.
  • Own it: Trust and ownership let us make decisions with confidence.
  • We love what we do: We bring passion to our work and love what we create for our members.
  • Keep it real: Authenticity, respect, and transparency are at our core.
