At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

We’re looking for a quick study, who is no stranger to working with shifting rules and regulations, to join our team. You’ll operationalize business and regulatory requirements, advocate for process improvements, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to solve problems with solutions that scale across platforms.

You will balance growth objectives with regulatory requirements, but that won’t phase you, as you’re no stranger to challenge or ambiguity. You have a deep sense of empathy for our users (both drivers and riders) and excel in asking probing questions, detecting unstated assumptions, driving consensus, resolving conflicts, and prioritizing competing objectives. You enjoy learning new things and working with many people to achieve success. You consistently own the work, focus on delivering impact, and reimagine what’s possible. In short, you make it happen, and you do it with a great sense of humor and an excitement to change the face of ridesharing. Because after all - it matters how you get there.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and execute new process rollouts & operational workflows
  • Continuously improve internal processes to respond quickly and effectively to business needs and shifting regulations
  • Work cross functionally to manage platform operations to improve our users’ experience and adjust to regulatory requirements
  • Conduct analyses of the business impacts posed by regulatory requirements and proposed changes to Lyft’s operations and product offerings
  • Develop creative solutions and plans, with stakeholder visibility and buy-in, to operationalize business and regulatory changes in a market
  • Collaborate on defining key success metrics and maintaining a working dashboard to monitor performance for ongoing programs
  • Successfully handle shifting priorities and emerging situations

Experience:

  • 3+ years of Operations experience, preferably with a Compliance/Policy background
  • Experience working with Operations, Product, User Experience, Compliance, and/or Engineering teams
  • Superior detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Proven success balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests
  • Experience asking the right questions and reducing friction when working with diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Highly-developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to take initiative to set and achieve goals and deadlines
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Bonus: Basic SQL proficiency or willingness to learn
  • Passion for great user experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule if an established Lyft Location is available to the region — Hybrid Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
